The Transit of Large Hand

Mayflies have one of the shortest life-spans of any insect, with some varieties living only thirty minutes or so. Most of that time, I presume, is spent looking for a mate, so these two horology-minded guys probably are goners when it comes to the gene pool. 

The transit of Venus was sort of cool though. I couldn't see much, but it's a good conversation piece. I've been telling all of my friends that I saw it.

  1. I always like things like this one. About short lived creatures interpreting their surroundings differently that is.

    A shame they didn't catch an hour. You know, when it goes "DONG!" That would have been more exciting for them
